Privacy Notice

The Verizon Beta Portal, hosted by our service provider Centercode, is a platform for Verizon Employees to volunteer to test new Verizon products and services. This Privacy Notice sets forth our information practices for the collection and use of your information when you sign up to participate in trials using the Beta Portal. The trial service terms, and the incorporated privacy notice, separately describe our data practices with respect to your use of the product or service you are trialing.

We collect information you provide directly to us when you sign up and participate in a trial. In some instances, we may also receive information about you from others if you choose to participate in a trial that we are conducting in
partnership with an outside vendor.

We may collect and use the following categories of information connected to you when you participate in the trials:

  • Your Verizon employee account login credentials.  We use this information to give you access to the Beta Portal.

  • Beta Portal Username/Alias.  We use this information as your username for the trials and feedback in the portal to keep you anonymous to other trial participants.

  • Date of Birth.  We use this information to verify you are over the age of 18 so you may be permitted to participate in a trial.

  • Employment Details, such as whether you are a full time employee.  We use this information to determine your participation eligibility for trials.

  • Personal Email Address.  We collect this information in case your Beta Portal account email is different from the email you use in app stores or other testing platforms.

  • Your Apple, Google Play, or TestFlight Identifiers if you choose to provide it to us.  We use this to provide you with app testing permissions for our builds if you choose to participate in those trials.

  • Verizon products and/or services you subscribe to or are interested in testing.  We use this information to determine what trials to suggest to you.

  • Information you submit or share with us about trials you participate in such as bugs, feature suggestions, feedback, and survey responses.  We use this information to assess and improve our products and services.

We share information with service providers who do work on our behalf.  We may share the identifiers you provide to us for other platforms with them to give you testing permissions for our builds. In some cases we may also share information with select partners with your consent as described in the trial terms of service.

Some trials may be conducted with vendors we may be partnering with. If you choose to participate in those trials, any information you provide directly to that company will be subject to its own Privacy Policies and Terms of Use.
